Ko Kirioki tōku maunga, Ko Punakitere tōku awa, Ko Ngāpuhi tōku Iwi, Ko Ngāti Tautahi tōku hapu, Ko Ngā Tokimatawhaorua tōku waka, Ko Hokianga tōku moana.
Pouri was born in Kaikohe, Northland, and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). Before moving to the Coast in 2022, he spent 20 years in Te Matau a Māui (Hawke’s Bay) with his wife, Wendy, and 4 tamariki.
An engineer by trade, he spent 10 years as a fitter/welder, doing research and development work on machinery, before getting involved with kiwi conservation projects and predator control.
In his spare time, he plays guitar, is a bit of a ‘Mr Fix-it’, and enjoys making things.
